The hypocrisy of our society seems to congratulate older men when they find themselves escorting a young attractive women. A recent interview showed an over 50 gentlemen who’s criteria for dating was to find a women approximately half his age and to add 5 years. When he does, his contemporaries are envious of his “catch”. If an older woman comes up with the same senario, the couple is often met with ridicule.
If you’re an older woman in a relationship with a younger man, you need to take a look at just where his priorities lay.
In many cases, mature women are finding that their young men prefer to keep the affair to themselves. If you haven’t met any of his friends, he’s having trouble reconciling the relationship. If you’ve met his friends but not his family, you can be sure he’s somewhat embarrassed by the relationship. After all if he’s so satisfied with your relationship, why doesn’t he have the balls to tell his friends and parents and introduce you to them with pride.
Society may be changing, and while younger men are finding love with mature women, we are dealing with a senario that has been considered scandalous and taboo in society.
Our young lovers are just that - young lovers. In many cases they are immature and heaven forbid, still living at home with the parents. You need to take a close look at how he’s adjusting to falling in love with an older woman. You may need to step up to the plate and guide him through the process.
